SAMSUNG is basically a South Korean Multinational company which deals inelectronics and information technology. Its main headquarter is situated in Samsung Town, Seoul. The company serves almost 61 countries all over the world, and if we talk about the number of employees working under this great firm so the figures would be around 160,000.

In 2009 Samsung became the World’s biggest IT maker by leaving behind the previous leader Hewlett-Packard. Samsung holds the number one position in the World with the biggest sales revenue in terms of Display screens (LCD and LED) and memory chips. its a leading brand in TV segment and Global LCD panel market; its been more than eight years, still the company is not looking in a mood to leave the top spot in both the areas; since 2006 Samsung is on apex.



Let’s move on the History:- Samsung electronics came into picture in 1969. Suwon was the city where the Company was founded; initially it used to manufacture electronic appliances only, but in 1988 Samsung increased its area of production and got merged with Samsung Semiconductor & Communications. History says that the company was founded in 1938 as a food processing and textile purveyor, and then in 1969 they started manufacturing electronic appliances like refrigerators, air conditioners and televisions.


The founder of Samsung is Mr. Lee Byung-chull who made an announcement in 1983 that his company will enter into the business of DRAM, DRAM stands for dynamic standard access memory. As a result, just one year later in 1984 Samsung developed the 64K DRAM, and became the world’s third company after U.S and Japan. Samsung is also one of the most powerful companies in the world, its rigidity and stability can be understood by an example:- when in 1997 the whole Asian market was drowning into the sea of financial crises that time Samsung was serving like anything and this happened because of its broad-based structural reforms.


In 2011 (April), Samsung Co. have sold their commercial operation to Seagate Technology for about $1.4 billion with payment of 45.2 million of (Samsung-Seagate) shares (9.6 percent of shares) with value of $687.5 million and the rest will be paid in Cash.



Samsung is holding the No. 1 position in:-


1. Global market share,

2. Memory chips and Flat panel televisions,

3. Samsung has also achieved a lot when it comes to mobile devices, it has taken the leadership

from Apple in Q3 of 2003,

4. Samsung is also one of the top suppliers in other home

appliances.



Samsung’s Business areas:-

the Firm mainly focuses on Four areas which includes telecommunication network, Semiconductor, digital media, and LCD digital appliances. Computers, laptop computers, and laser printers come in Digital Media Business area. Its sub units are:- 1. digital displays such as monitors (computer) and televisions, 2. Entertainment devices such as Mp3 players, digital camcorders, DVD players, and last category of this segment is Home appliance which includes air conditioners, microwave ovens, refrigerators, washers, vacuum cleaners and water purifiers.


Semiconductor business area covers---1. semiconductor chips (SRAM, NAND Flash memory, and
SDRAM), 2. Mobile TV receivers, 3. Mobile application processors, 4. Smart cards, 5. CMOS Image sensors, 6. MP3 IC, DVD/BD
/HD-DVD Player SOC and multi-chip package (MCP), RF transceivers, and last category of this segment is storage devices which
includes optical disc drivers and hard disc drivers.


The telecommunication business area covers—1. fax machines and DSLAMs, 2. Cellular devices
such as Cell phones, hybrid devices (mobile intelligent terminals: MIT), 3. PDA phones, and 4. Satellite receivers.


LCD digital appliances business includes—1. OLED (organic light-emitting diode) for laptops, 2.
TFT-LCD, 3. Televisions, 4. And desktop monitors. One more important point to mention here is—in 2009 Samsung established

Samsung print as a separate entity and as a result the company released a wide range of printers, multifunctional devices and lot

more.

Samsung is giant legend company in the smart phone market. It has been always revolutionising the world with its products like smart TV and smart cell phones. The latest release of samsung galaxy s3 is the next big thing in the market.

It do not support unoicde like Chines and the interface is not very good (login interface is large for E72 and the font size looks like so small).I hope your next verison.It is a good job~~btw,the upload function should be more intelligent,if I upload a file and I do not provide the directory,it will be in the root directory,but I suggest it could be saved in the directory where I located.

sir i bought samsung GT-S7562 on october 18th 2012 imei no is 354098051273270/01 354099051273278/01 i have a problem in my mobile many time my mobile coverage tower is gone but mobile tower is in my village also and when i calling the voice is not clear sometime im go to samsung care after 1 hour wait i tell my problem but they said me that its not any problem in my mobile please help me why my mobile network tower is gone in my village but mobile tower is in my village and i use Docomo & Idea & Airtel sim but same problem in all numbers & all company's tower is in my village . so whant can o do for this please help me as soon as possible. thanks
